They took effect on September 28, 2026 and cover every visit to novelvora.us from that day. By reading a page or sending an inquiry you accept them. If you do not, please leave the site; the books themselves are public domain and available elsewhere, though rarely proofed the way ours are.

The site is operated by Novelvora, trading at novelvora.us, whose postal address is 70 Oak Lane, Floor 2, Austin, Texas 82798, United States. "We" in these terms means Novelvora. "You" means whoever is reading, or the school, library or club on whose behalf an inquiry is sent.

The site provides the full text of each title in the catalogue, set for the screen and proofed against a named early edition, with editor's notes and a correction ledger. It also provides a lookup, an inquiry form and a support chat.

It does not provide abridged or modernised texts, books still in copyright in the United States, user accounts, or a shop. Public-domain status is judged under US law; if you read from another country, check your own country's rules before you copy a text.

Book club reading packs, large print classic novels sets and custom collections start as an inquiry through the contact form, the chat or email. Any figure mentioned on the site or in a first reply is an estimate, not a binding quote.

We then email a written quote with the format, quantity, price and delivery date. An order exists only when you reply accepting that quote. Payment arrangements are set out in the quote itself and are never taken through this website.

Quotes are in USD. What moves the price: the number of readers, printed or digital, the type size for large print, the length of the book (Middlemarch at about 316,000 words costs more to print than Dubliners), extra discussion material, and how soon you need it. Shipping is itemised separately.

A quote holds for the period written on it. If you change the quantity or format after accepting, we re-quote.

You may not:

• run automated scraping that strains the server, or bypass rate limits;
• try to reach the operator panel or any part of the site not linked publicly;
• send spam, malware or abusive messages through the form or the chat;
• pretend to be someone else when sending an inquiry;
• present our notes, ledger or layout as your own work.

The texts of the twelve books are in the US public domain and we claim no rights in them. The editor's notes, content notes, correction ledgers, chapter planners, glossaries, page design, photographs and the Novelvora name and logo are ours. Short quotation with a link is fine. Wholesale copying of our notes or ledgers needs written permission.

We proof every line, and we still miss some. We do not warrant that the site will always be available, that it will suit a particular course, or that the lookup will find every book you think of. Editor's notes are interpretation, not scholarship of record. Our specific commitment on text accuracy, with its 7-day check, is set out in the text accuracy guarantee.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reading on the site, such as a missed class plan because the site was down. For an accepted pack, our total liability is limited to the amount paid for that pack. This does not exclude liability for fraud, or anything else Texas law does not permit us to exclude.

We may refuse or withdraw access, block an IP address, or close a chat, where someone breaks section 6. We may take a title out of the catalogue, or close the site, with notice on the home page. If we withdraw a title after you accepted a quote for a pack of it, we either deliver the pack or refund what you paid.

These terms run under the law of Texas, United States. Any dispute about them, or about a pack order, is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. Please write to us before going that far; a misprinted pack is usually settled with a replacement in a week.

We announce a change by updating the effective date on this page and adding a note in this section describing what moved. For open pack orders we also email the contact on the order. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
